Social Worker - LCSW (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Summary The Social Worker serves the student whose social, emotional, and/or family problems interfere with his/her capacity to function adequately within an educational environment. The Social Worker professionally assesses the problem(s) in order to provide and refer for interventions that help eliminate barriers to learning. Interventions may include the school, family, and/or community resources. Minimum Requirements Current License as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of social work Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Provider Dependable mode of transportation Availability to work flexible hours as needed Requirements Prior to Start Date FBI fingerprint background check. Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization. Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire) and MV Report showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under EEB-R-1, Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees. Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under EEB-R-1, Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees. Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department. Preferred Requirements Bilingual - Spanish/English Comments Effective: 2026-2027 School Year Site: Exceptional Education Department - Location: Multiple Sites - District-Wide FTE: 1.0 – 7.5 hours per day Work Calendar: 9.5 month Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
