Assistive Technology TeacherSalary: $50,678-$71,564, commensurate with experience relevant to the positionWork Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00A-2:45PLocation: To Be Determined, Some travel may be requiredThe Assistive Technology Teacher provides support for students with disabilities by providing direct and indirect support services in the integration and use of assistive technology devices, materials, and strategies to students, educational teams, and families.Responsibilities include:Plan appropriate activities for students assigned to caseload:Create materials and methods, and implement appropriate communication systems for those students requiring that type of intervention;Orient students to the activities that are planned and provide for a comprehensive scope and sequence of activities;Participate as a meaningful member of the special education team in relation to the student's total program;Integrate communication strategies and adapt instructional materials for student access to curriculum within the classroom environment to the maximum extent possible;Evaluate and report on student progress at designated intervals according to established procedures;Be familiar with and cooperate with school policies and regulations;Supervise the use and care of materials and equipment;Cooperate as fully as possible with professional and non-professional staff members of this organization and other school districts in conjunctive activities;And other such duties as assigned.
