Experience is not required, as we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow in the role.The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is a 163 room Hotel nestled within Riverside Park overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River.**SHIFT:****Part-Time | Average 20 Hours per Week | Weekend Availability Required: Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM | Some Weekday Hours Available****WHAT WE OFFER:**Our quirky group offers a break from the repetition, with no two days that are ever the same.**Day 1**, we are pleased to offer:* Hotel Discounts at over ***7,000 Choice Hotels**** Free Daily Meal********1st of the Month after 30 Days of Employment**:* 401(k) Retirement Plan**90 Days:*** Paid Vacation and Sick Time* 8 Paid Holidays* Paid Bereavement**1 Year:*** Paid Floating Holidays**RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Responds to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately* Maintains problem logbook to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizes efforts accordingly* Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and takes immediate action to correct* Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed* Understands the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M.)* Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel* Maintains the condition of hotel lobbies and restaurants* Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary* Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs**REQUIREMENTS:*** Ideal candidate will have facility maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry* Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a driving record check* Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills* Works well independently or as part of a team* Strong attention to detail* Commitment to exceptional guest service* Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations* Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel* Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends* Working knowledge of computer and math skills.* Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical work is also a benefit* Certifications for HVAC CPO preferred.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*** Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds* Ability to stand for long periods of time* Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction* Ability to stand and exert well paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift* Ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 pounds on an ongoing basis* Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist on an ongoing basisAbility to model Choice’s Cultural Values: Welcome and Respect Everyone, Be Bold, Be Quick, Listen, Be Curious and Show Integrity are key to our success in inspiring Loyalty, Growth, and the Hospitality Spirit.Choice Hotels International is an equal opportunity employer and affirmative action employer.
