Data Engineer - Hybrid

Data EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer for a Global Investment Management Firm located in New York, NY. This is a hybrid 12+ month contract opportunity.This is a development role with a heavy data management component, supporting the Investment Engineering Sustainability team. The selected candidate will build tooling and pipelines that directly support how the team manages and analyzes sustainability data for credit strategies. This role involves a mix of new development and application support, working directly with front office stakeholders in a fast-paced environment that requires clear communication and the ability to pivot priorities.Responsibilities:Develop internal tools that support data management and reporting needs across the Sustainability teamStructure and organize data to support consistent, reliable access across workflows and applicationsBuild and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows in Python and SQL against SnowflakeCommunicate directly with investment professionals: flag issues early, set expectations, and follow throughWork in an environment where priorities shift quickly; pivot without losing context on deprioritized workProvide application support for the live components of the platformDeliver well-structured data pipelines, internal tooling, and clean, documented codeRequirements:4+ years' experience in a development roleSolid Python skills and comfortable working with dataHands-on SQL experienceExperience working within an Azure cloud environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to give clear, direct updates to non-technical stakeholdersComfortable operating in a front office environment with urgency, changing priorities, and high standards for outputFamiliarity with Git and standard development workflowsDesired skills:Snowflake familiarityPay range: $50 - $60 per hourIf you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
