Join us in our mission to enhance the well-being of our patients and residents while making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the quality of patient care as it relates to the investigation, control and prevention of infections and communicable diseases.Integrate the Infection Control and Prevention program with the nursing centers' QAPI processes, is a member of the Center's QAPI committee, and regularly reports on the status on the IPCP.Develop, implement and teach education programs in response to identified infection control needs identified through QAPI, rounding, center quality measures, or other means.Support new hire orientation by providing infection prevention and control training for newly hired employees.Review the immunization documentation for new hires to ensure regulatory compliance.Oversee implementation and quality of the patient/resident influenza and pneumococcal vaccine.Maintain infection prevention and control records per policy and regulatory requirements.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current practical or vocational nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required and a minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care nursing with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.Previous experience in infection prevention and control is preferred.Ability to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working evening and night shifts is required.Must work at least part-time.BenefitsVariable compensation plansTuition, Travel, and Wireless Service DiscountsEmployee Assistance Program to support mental healthEmployee Foundation to financially assist through unforeseen hardshipsHealth, Dental, Vision, Company-paid life insurance, 401K, Paid Time OffFree 24/7 virtual health care provided by licensed doctors for all Anthem medically-enrolled employees and their immediate family membersOn-Demand Pay Program that allows for instant access to a portion of the money you've already earnedWe also offer several voluntary insurances such as:Pet InsuranceTerm and Whole Life InsuranceShort-term DisabilityHospital IndemnityPersonal AccidentCritical IllnessCancer CoverageRestrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.Posted Salary Range USD $49.00 - USD $55.00 /Hr.
