Job Title: Electrician Up to $40hr

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial settings. This includes working with various types of conduit, handling high-voltage electrical systems, and ensuring the efficient distribution of power.

Responsibilities

• Bend conduit ranging from 1/2" to 4" (EMT, IMC) to facilitate efficient installation.
• Work with 480V electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure safe and efficient distribution of electrical power throughout the facility.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electric controls, including PLCs, motor controls, and other automated systems.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using testing equipment and hand tools to locate and correct problems.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving and lifting heavy objects.
• Place conduit, pipes, or tubing inside designated areas.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in bending various types of conduit (EMT, IMC) from 1/2" to 4".
• Experience working with 480V electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to ensure efficient and safe distribution of electrical power throughout the facility.
• Skills in installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electric controls, including PLCs, motor controls, and automated systems.
• Proficiency in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
• Competence in diagnosing malfunctioning systems using testing equipment and hand tools to locate and correct problems.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches and moving heavy objects.
• Skill in placing conduit, pipes, or tubing inside designated areas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledgeable with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to interpret blueprints and construction plans.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glen Ellyn, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
