The role involves providing specialized wound care to patients of all age groups, including adults and pediatrics. Clinical responsibilities include assessment, treatment, and management of various types of wounds and ostomies. Experience in wound care management and proficiency in using wound care products is critical. Knowledge of infection control practices is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. The position requires the ability to teach patients and families about wound care needs. Being adaptable to facility needs and working in a fast-paced environment is required.
