Forge Helper - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a dedicated Forge Helper to join our team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of the forging process and procedures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and serialization of parts while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions given by supervisors and team leads.
• Track the serialization of parts to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area, showing concern for maintaining equipment such as manipulators and furnaces.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
• Ensure that the parts being worked on meet the highest quality standards.

• Experience in foundry, production, and forging.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other industrial equipment.
• Skill in using measuring tools like micrometres and calipers.
• Experience in quality inspection processes.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Proficiency in computing rate, ratio, and percent, and drawing and interpreting bar graphs.

Work Environment

This position requires regular standing, walking quickly, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with arms. Communication skills are essential as you will be talking and hearing in a loud and hot environment. You will frequently need to stoop, kneel, or crouch and climb onto equipment. The role involves lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly. You will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr.
