Automation And Controls EngineerThe Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer at our Paul, ID plant. We seek a candidate to design and implement capital improvements to the sugar refinery. The position requires project management experience with engineering systems in the manufacturing environment. This position will report to the Process Optimization Manager.Develop and manage process improvement projects. Projects may include, but are not limited to, electrical, mechanical, and chemical systems in a heavy industrial environment. Applicants must have the ability to manage multiple projects, prepare budgets and proposals, coordinate efforts of several departments and provide a leadership role in the development, installation, and monitoring of each project through commissioning.Additionally, this position provides technical assistance in new equipment installation and commissioning, developing, and managing extra-ordinary budgets and proper account allocation, helps maintain database historian, as well as performs technical studies.The Amalgamated Sugar Company is built on innovation and is a proud leader in the sugar industry and that can only happen with the best people. Qualified candidates need to be dynamic and work successfully in a fluid environment.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preferably in Automation or Electrical engineering.
