Commercial Engine Maintenance Instructor (Onsite)

Job Overview Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Commercial Line Maintenance Instructor for its Customer Training Center (CTC) in East Hartford, CT. The role entails delivering training on mature Commercial Engine (MCE) programs and PW1000G GTF engine programs to internal customers and external airlines and MROs, both virtually and onsite worldwide. What You Will Do Support the CTC Commercial Engine Training Team as a maintenance instructor and subject matter expert (SME) for selected P&W engine models. Design courseware according to the CTC Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Process, evaluate course material for content and accuracy, and record quality escapes. Field customer requests and direct them to appropriate P&W support personnel. Participate or lead cross‑functional teams focused on continuous improvement of training operations, business initiatives, or broadening the training portfolio. Travel domestically and internationally, typically two weeks at a time, accounting for up to 10‑15% of total work. Work effectively with customers from diverse cultures and adult learners. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of five years in engine maintenance and troubleshooting at the commercial aviation industry flight line (A1) level. Knowledge of P&W engine products, including PW2000, PW4000, V2500, PW1100G‑JM, PW1400G‑JM, PW1500G and PW1900G. Experience with line and base maintenance at the flight‑line level. Qualifications We Prefer Experience delivering presentations to all levels of leadership. Understanding of the voice of the customer for operational business needs and ability to customize training accordingly. Human factors and foreign object damage (FOD) expertise. Any advanced degree with at least three years of relevant experience. Benefits Competitive salary range: $86,800‑$165,200 USD.
