Position Details

Location: Tampa, FL 33619

Pay Range: $20.00 per hr

Schedule:

• Full time (40 hours) 
• 7am - 3PM 
• Weekend and Holiday availability required.
• 8 hour shifts

What You’ll Do

• Lead 10 to 15 on-site officers across the guard shack, warehouse lobby, and rover posts.
• Monitor attendance and post coverage, and coordinate breaks so every post stays covered.
• Train and coach officers on post orders, procedures, and report writing.
• Review daily reports and incident documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Escalate security and safety concerns promptly.
• Stay visible throughout the facility and walk the property regularly; this is not an office-based role.
• Build a strong working relationship with your team and follow through on issues until they are resolved.
• Support management with incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, including coordinating with emergency services when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older for unarmed security officer roles; 21+ for armed security guard roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass a background check in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (where permitted by law).
• Must obtain a valid Florida Class D Security License (must be completed prior to starting).
• Must own a smartphone for clocking in, reporting, and communication.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must have the physical endurance to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods outside in high heat conditions.

Preferred but Not Required: Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours)
• Ability to conduct foot patrols, including stair climbing
• Ability to work outdoors, including in heat and humidity
• Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds as needed
