Material Handler – Assembly DepartmentLocation: Richmond, VAPay: Starting at $18/hourSchedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pmEmployment Type: Temp-to-Perm Now Hiring Material Handlers!Qualified Staffing is hiring Material Handlers for a manufacturing company in Richmond, VA. This role supports the Assembly Department by moving parts and materials throughout the facility, helping production stay on schedule, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a welding and fabrication environment. What You’ll Do Move raw materials and finished parts between receiving, production, assembly, and shipping areas Pull materials based on work orders, schedules, or supervisor instructions Load and unload trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves using forklifts or manual methods Stage orders for fabrication and assembly teams Use scanners or computer systems to track inventory and record transactions Inspect loads for accuracy and report shortages or discrepancies Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace Follow all safety policies and use proper PPE at all times What We’re Looking For At least 1 year of material handling or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment Forklift experience required; cherry picker or stand-up lift experience is a plus Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF scanners helpful Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work orders Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance when needed Comfortable working on concrete floors in a loud production setting Good communication skills and reliable attendance Why Work With Qualified Staffing?
