Senior Counsel - Liability & Excess Coverage

Senior Counsel – Insurance Coverage Litigation Clyde & Co US LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel attorney to join our growing insurance coverage litigation practice in Seattle. The role focuses on providing strategic guidance to insurance companies on first‑party and third‑party coverage analyses and defending against alleged bad‑faith claims in Washington and other jurisdictions nationwide. Responsibilities Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients. Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda. Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation. Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties. Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations. Assume a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients. Qualifications Admitted to practice in Washington State. Experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation or a commercial litigation background with an interest in insurance coverage work. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to handle sensitive, time‑sensitive matters simultaneously. Effective problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Salary Salary range: $200,000 – $235,000. Benefits Hybrid work flexibility.
