Inpatient Rehab Physical Therapist

Location: Richmond, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7am and 5pm, with rotating weekends.

Job Description: The Inpatient Rehab Physical Therapist will join a dynamic rehabilitation therapy team within a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have essential experience in evaluating and treating stroke patients, providing comprehensive therapy interventions, and facilitating patient recovery in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients in an inpatient rehab setting.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions aimed at improving functional mobility and independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists, to optimize patient care.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, functional activity training, and neuromuscular re-education.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or inpatient rehab setting.
• Proficiency in stroke evaluation and treatment preferred.

Certifications: No specific certifications required, but relevant licensure must be current.
