Position Summary

We are seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist (AP/CP) to join a growing, collaborative pathology practice. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume, multi-site environment, providing comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services while partnering with a team of experienced pathologists and healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate is a skilled diagnostician with experience in surgical and clinical pathology who thrives in a collaborative setting, values high-quality patient care, and is committed to delivering accurate, timely diagnoses.

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, interpret, and diagnose a broad range of anatomic pathology specimens, including surgical pathology and cytology cases.
  • Provide expert pathology consultations and communicate clinically significant findings to referring physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic services in accordance with established medical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians, and multidisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in a high-volume pathology practice serving multiple healthcare facilities.
  • Exercise sound independent medical judgment while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure quality assurance, quality improvement, and compliance with applicable accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain complete and accurate pathology reports and medical documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance pathology services, operational efficiency, and patient care.
  • Stay current with advancements in pathology through continuing medical education and professional development.
Job Requirements / Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP).
  • Active California medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment.
  • Strong diagnostic expertise in surgical pathology and clinical pathology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered pathology services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to four (2-4) years of experience in a pathology practice or comparable clinical setting.
  • Fellowship training in a surgical pathology subspecialty, including but not limited to:
    • Cytopathology
    • Breast Pathology
    • Gastrointestinal (GI) Pathology
    • Gynecologic Pathology
    • Other relevant pathology subspecialties
  • Experience working in a high-volume, multi-site pathology environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and continuous professional development.
