Data Governance Analyst

Talascend is currently seeking a Data Governance Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois .


Overview


This position involves developing and implementing data governance policies to maintain data quality, security, and compliance across the organization.


Responsibilities

• Create and enforce data governance policies and standards
• Monitor and assess data quality and compliance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data ownership and stewardship roles
• Provide training and support on data governance practices
• Prepare reports on data governance metrics and improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with data governance tools and technologies
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
