Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an operating room position requiring NBSTSA certification and Epic experience.

Details

• Operating Room department supporting general, vascular, ENT, gynecology, neuro, ortho, thoracic, urology, and robotic surgical procedures
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Call requirements include weekend call once per month (Saturday and Sunday) and weekday call once every two weeks, with a 30-minute arrival time
• One holiday commitment, selectable at time of contract signing

Requirements

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program
• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, sterilization/disinfection, and specimen handling
• Knowledge of laser, radiation, and sharps safety protocols
• Experience with Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures

Additional Information

• Support a wide range of surgical procedures including vascular, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, neuro, ophthalmology, orthopedic, thoracic, and urologic cases
• Assist with robotic-assisted surgeries across multiple specialties
• Participate in emergency management and fire safety protocols
• Maintain sterile fields and uphold infection control standards throughout procedures
