Step into a meaningful role supporting a student’s well-being throughout the 2026-2027 academic year as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a school-based setting near Tacoma, WA. This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to provide dedicated, one-on-one care to a medically fragile student, ensuring their safety and comfort in the classroom, as well as during daily bus transportation.

As the student’s primary clinical support, you will be responsible for managing routine and complex health needs, including working confidently with feeding tubes and closely collaborating with educators and caregivers to maintain a nurturing, inclusive school environment. Your expertise will help enable the student's active participation and integration into the school community.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid LPN/LVN license in Washington State or a willingness to obtain one
• Experience or strong comfort level with feeding tubes and providing care for medically fragile individuals
• Fingerprinting through OSPI (or willingness to complete this process)
• Ability to work onsite exclusively and ride the school bus with the student each day
• Positive, compassionate attitude and strong communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, one-on-one nursing care, including complex medical tasks
• Monitor and document the student’s health status throughout the day
• Accompany and supervise the student during bus rides to and from school
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support the student's educational goals
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school health safety standards
• Serve as an advocate for the student’s health and educational needs
