The Gardens of Statesville Assisted Living and Memory Care community is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient individual to provide personalized support to clients in their daily lives. In this role, you will help individuals maintain comfort, dignity, and independence by assisting with routine personal tasks, offering companionship, and supporting a safe and positive environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and values meaningful, people-focused work.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily personal care activities, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and hygiene support
• Provide mobility assistance and help with positioning, transfers, and safe movement as needed
• Support meal preparation, feeding assistance, and basic nutrition-related tasks
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and respectful communication
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable living environment
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to client care
• Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor or family member
• Follow care plans, safety procedures, and client preferences with professionalism and attention to detail
• Support medication reminders as directed and within scope of practice
• Promote client independence while providing the right level of assistance

Qualifications

• Previous experience in personal care, caregiving, home health, or a related support role preferred
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions, care plans, and safety guidelines
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work with discretion and professionalism
• Physical ability to assist with daily care activities and light household tasks
• Basic understanding of personal care practices and client confidentiality
• Willingness to complete any required training or certification for the role
