Associate Art Director

Veronica Beard is looking for an Associate Art Director to work closely alongside the creative team in creating and executing graphic requests for multi-departmental needs. This role is based in our New York office and reports directly to the Digital Art Director.

Responsibilities :

• Support the Digital Art Director in leading the development of multi-platform, multi-channel campaigns, creating visually compelling static and video designs that align with business objectives and the brand marketing strategy.
• Maintain and enhance brand standards, ensuring brand consistency across all channels while introducing fresh, innovative ideas
• Collaborate with the Digital Art Director to guide creative team in producing high-quality print and digital assets for seasonal launches, promotional campaigns, e-commerce assets, and sales.
• Contribute to the creative process for site refreshes, email design, digital storytelling, and special projects such as seasonal direct mail pieces, in-store signage, and invitations.
• Assist in overseeing social media content creation, including image cropping, grid layouts, video editing, and designing IG Reels, TikToks, and IGS that reflect the brand’s tone and visual identity.
• Provide support for pre-production of brand campaigns, including gathering visual references, contributing to casting decisions, and assisting in overall creative development.
• Assist in post-production, working closely with the Digital Art Director to coordinate retouching, manage deliverables, and ensure timelines are met.
• Ownership of photo shoots for our wholesale selling platform, JOOR, including overseeing pre-production, providing creative direction during the shoot, and ensuring assets meet brand guidelines and the needs of the wholesale team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in ensuring smooth asset delivery across marketing, e-commerce, and social media channels.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of design and art direction experience in a related field (fashion / luxury a plus)
• BA / BFA in a design, or similar
• Eye for design, clean + sophisticated aesthetic, and strong interest in fashion
• Strong voice, highly motivated, self-managed, and able to think independently
• Excellent typography skills with elevated level of taste and ability to apply modern design aesthetics across projects of varied styles
• Innovative thinker always seeking to grow and push brand direction forward
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Capture One, and XD)
• Well-rounded creative portfolio with design, branding, and art direction projects
• Previous experience at luxury lifestyle, fashion or creative agency is preferred
• Responds positively to feedback and adapts quickly to change
• Thinks with both sides of the brain: creative vision and strong organizational skills
• Takes initiative and understands no task is too small
• Excellent interpersonal, time & project management, and communication skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure, and meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of accountability
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• E-Commerce art direction skills are a plus

The base salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $100,000. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. The base salary is just one component of our total compensation offerings, which consist of a comprehensive benefits package as well as a short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts
