B2B Social Media Manager (Grand Rapids)

Montgomery Code is hiring a B2B Social Media Manager to run social programs for our clients across LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and other platforms. Our clients build things: manufacturers, SaaS teams, and ecommerce brands that make their own products. The work spans technical B2B audiences on LinkedIn and ecommerce audiences on Meta, so you need to be fluent in both.

This is an ownership role: you own client social calendars end to end and report directly to the Founder. You work between our writers, photographers, and paid media team, turning every shoot, story, and launch into posts. The bar here is high on every post, from a launch video to a single caption. Great social here takes both sides of the brain: the eye for what performs and the discipline to know why.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own social calendars for a portfolio of client brands across LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and other platforms, planning, scheduling, and posting natively and with scheduling tools
• Write captions and short-form copy in each client's voice, grounded in their products and buyers
• Curate photography and video from the asset library, and brief the production team on what social needs from the next shoot
• Cut short-form video for Reels, Shorts, and LinkedIn from shoot footage and interviews
• Build monthly content plans sourced from case studies, shoots, launches, and industry news
• Engage in the feed: respond to comments, monitor mentions, and grow each client's community
• Track performance across platforms and report what worked, what did not, and what to test next
• Coordinate with the paid media team so organic and paid creative stay aligned
• Run Montgomery Code's own social presence alongside client work
• Track platform changes and new formats, and translate them into recommendations clients can act on

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Client accounts grow: reach, engagement, and inbound conversations improve month over month
• Every post ships on brand and on time, with no client corrections on voice or facts
• Clients bring their social questions to you first and treat you as a thought partner, not a scheduler
• You run your calendars independently: planning, writing, and posting move without waiting on direction
• You iterate in the open, trading drafts and cuts with teammates so every round gets stronger
• The production team knows what social needs before the shoot

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 to 6 years managing social media for brands, with hands-on ownership of calendars and results
• Experience running both B2B LinkedIn accounts and ecommerce Meta accounts
• Genuine interest in technical products and the people who build them (if this isn't you, please don't apply)
• Sharp writer: your captions sound like the client, not like a brand template
• Hypersocial: you build easy rapport with clients and teammates, and you make the quick call instead of waiting a week on an email
• Strong eye: you know which posts will perform and you can say why
• Short-form video editing skills in Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar
• Hands-on AI experience for research, outlining, and workflow
• Comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment, moving between manufacturers, SaaS teams, and ecommerce brands in the same day

LOCATION, PTO, BENEFITS, SALARY

• Location: Grand Rapids, MI (onsite, with hybrid flexibility earned)
• PTO: Unlimited after 6 months
• Benefits: Annual bonus eligibility and 401k match. Health benefits are not offered at this time.
• Salary: $55k to $70k, based on skills and experience
• Reports to: Founder
