Job Title: Material Handler - $18-20/HR

Job Description

The Forklift Driver/Material Handler plays a crucial role in operating material-handling equipment, such as forklifts, to receive, store, and distribute materials, parts, and supplies effectively. Using wireless RF scanning equipment, this role ensures accurate material management and disposition.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, to move racks, containers, pallets, and crates.

• Move, locate, relocate, load, unload, and stack materials in designated areas.

• Perform routine daily equipment inspections and report any issues.

• Gather finished orders for movement to the outbound shipping area.

• Ensure products are labelled correctly and free from damage, overages, and shortages.

• Complete all related paperwork accurately.

• Adhere to quality and customer service standards established by the company.

• Observe and comply with all safety procedures and guidelines.

• Ensure materials are properly stacked and secured for transport.

• Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and removing scrap, pallets, and cardboard.

• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating forklifts and material handling equipment.

• Ability to use wireless RF scanning equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.

• Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in material handling and general labor.

• Knowledge of production processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Davenport, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $22.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
