Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity. This role is onsite and will support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment in a plant/manufacturing environment.

This is a good fit for someone with hands-on experience maintaining large industrial equipment, production machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and general plant equipment. Candidates should have a steady work history and be comfortable working in a heavy manufacturing or industrial setting.

Compensation Hourly pay based on experience and demonstrated skill level.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant and production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems
• Respond to equipment breakdowns safely and efficiently to minimize downtime
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Weld, fabricate, or modify components as needed
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and rebuilds
• Document maintenance activity using a computerized maintenance management system
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout requirements
• Work with production and other departments to support continuous operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Entry-level to 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a plant, manufacturing, or industrial environment
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, welding, fabrication, electrical, HVAC, CMMS, forklift, or aerial lift work is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs/ladders as needed
• Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation
• Safety-focused with ability to follow PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
