Shift Manager - Front of House - University Location: Roots Natural Kitchen, Columbus - University (CLB1), 10 E 15th Ave, Columbus, OH 43201, USA. Hours: Full-time / Part-time. Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour. The Role As the FOH Shift Manager, you will ensure customers receive exceptional service and our restaurant remains clean, stocked, and efficient. You will lead and develop the Front of House crew, coach them in customer experience, food safety, and operational standards. Responsibilities Communicate the vision for Roots culture to crew. Collaborate with Leadership Team to create an outstanding work environment. Improve crew leadership skills through coaching and training. Provide hands‑on training and ongoing support to crew members. Lead and coach crew to run excellent shifts with focus on customer experience. Ensure crew delivers exceptional customer experience, attends to details, maintains food safety standards. Master all front‑of‑house positions (line, grill, catering/app). Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude during all shifts. Skills, Experience, and Requirements Prior restaurant management experience preferred. Empathy for crew and customers. Friendliness and enthusiasm for each day. Leadership by example through humility and resilience. Excellent personal, communication, and organizational skills.
