Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to neonates and pediatric patients in a transport setting. Ensure safe and efficient patient transfers via flight or ground, adhering to all safety protocols and transport standards.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute patient transports using flight, rotor, or ground vehicles, ensuring patient stability throughout transit.
• Collaborate with physicians, transport team members, and external facilities to facilitate smooth patient handoffs.
• Complete required training for flight and mobile transfers, including work with contracted providers such as LifeFlight.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, transport details, and compliance in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure all licensing, credentialing, and background checks are completed prior to assignment.
• Adhere to all safety standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements during patient transport.

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon RN license or active license application with fingerprinting prior to start.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, preferably in pediatrics or NICU setting.
• Must have flight and/or mobile transfer experience, including proficiency with neonatal patient transport.
• Strong knowledge of Epic electronic charting system.
• Ability to obtain and maintain WA/compact RN license.
• Must complete required orientation, training, and Epic test-out successfully.
