The Coding Consultant is a functional member of Central Business Services at SPD. The Consultant is seen as a senior level coding professional and provides knowledge, experience and mentorship to the team as well as other staff in the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Coding Certification (Facility Managed)
• 4 years of ICD-9-CM and CPT coding experience performing clinic and hospital-based inpatient and outpatient coding for professional billing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree, or
• Equivalent years of experience or completion of a certified coding program and 4-5 years related experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
