The Opportunity & Growth

You will step right into a core preparation and accounting role, with a clear path to advance into a Tax & Accounting Manager position as you get comfortable with our firm and client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax Return Preparation: Prepare individual (1040) and business (1120, 1120S, 1065) tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Handle monthly/quarterly general ledger work, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting using QuickBooks.
• Client Engagement: Work directly with small business owners and individual clients to gather records, answer questions, and provide status updates.
• Firm Operations: Keep engagements on track through busy season and assist with client onboarding.

What We’re Looking For

• Tax Firm Background: Real-world experience working in a tax or public accounting practice.
• Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of 1040 and business return preparation mechanics.
• QuickBooks Skills: Daily proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop.
• Software Flexibility: Experience with professional tax software (we use ATX, but experience with UltraTax, Drake, ProConnect, or Lacerte translates easily and training will be provided).
• Communication & Personality: A friendly, professional attitude that makes clients feel comfortable and supported.
• Credentialing: CPA or EA license is a plus, but proven hands-on experience and accuracy are what matter most to us.
