Job Description

The Manager of School Support for NYC Enrollment plays a critical role in guiding families from initial interest to Day 1 readiness. By overseeing regional lead conversion and family outreach, this role directly supports Uncommon Schools' mission by ensuring schools meet their student application and enrollment targets. You will manage the systems, data reporting, and operational strategies that drive enrollment success across the New York City region. In this role, you will partner closely with school operations teams, external affairs, and community partners to remove barriers and optimize the family enrollment journey. Ultimately, your work empowers a dedicated regional enrollment team to deliver a welcoming, consistent, and highly responsive experience for prospective families.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and support a team of four staff members.
• Establish clear team goals, outreach expectations, and performance tracking systems to support regional new student lead, application and enrollment targets.
• Create and implement an annual professional development calendar to equip the regional enrollment team with community family outreach and recruitment skills.
• Oversee administrative team tasks, including approving timesheets and managing 25% of the NYC Enrollment Cost Center budget for events and engagements.

Strategy & Execution

• Develop and manage lead engagement strategies, prioritizing target populations and tracking outreach effectiveness to ensure timely lead conversion.
• Collaborate with External Affairs, Marketing, and school teams to maximize digital ad and referral campaigns.
• Ensure a 24-hour response time for the NYC Enrollment email inbox and phone line while maintaining a target lead conversion rate.

Operations & Data Management

• Serve as the regional subject matter expert for enrollment systems, including Salesforce and SchoolMint, to ensure accurate data tracking and process execution.
• Manage all new student offers during the peak conversion season of April through September, utilizing school targets and budgets to determine offer volume.
• Oversee student enrollment and record compliance, ensuring all student transfers and documentation align with Department of Education policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with school operations teams to share data trends, identify gaps in enrollment plans, and recommend data-driven improvements.
• Design tools, systems, and resources for school-based teams to ensure enrollment processes are executed consistently across all campuses.
• Conduct training workshops and provide one-on-one support for school operations leaders to build their proficiency in enrollment systems and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in team management, student recruitment, or enrollment management.
• 3 years of experience in community engagement, outreach or sales.
• Verbal and written fluency in Spanish.
• Experience utilizing Outlook, Excel, Google Drive, SchoolMint, and Salesforce Salescloud.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is between $97,400 to $118,000. 

Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. If you meet all
