Senior Specialist - Architecture

Role Description Location: Plano, TX (3 days hybrid) We are looking for a Splunk SME to lead the design operation and evolution of our large‑scale Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud deployment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in design, scaling, and security of Splunk architectures. Responsibilities Lead design, operation, and evolution of large-scale Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud deployments Administer large Splunk environments, including indexer and search head clustering, SmartStore, and object store design Develop and maintain Universal Heavy Forwarder architecture, ingest actions, and parsing transformations Implement KVStore, RBAC, SAML encryption, and security log ingestion for SIEM use cases Optimize Splunk searches, indexing, and data model acceleration Apply CIM mapping and field normalization Automate Linux system engineering via scripting (Python, Bash) and automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, GitOps) Qualifications 8+ years of experience administering large Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud environments Strong hands‑on knowledge of Splunk architecture, security, and performance optimization Experience with security log ingestion and SIEM use cases Experience with Linux systems engineering, scripting, and automation Preferred: Splunk certifications (Core Consultant, Enterprise Admin, Enterprise Architect, ES Analyst, ES Admin) Benefits and Perks Comprehensive Medical Plan covering Medical, Dental, Vision Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability Coverage 401(k) Plan with company match Life Insurance Paid Paternity and Maternity Leave Vacation Time, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance, and internal equity.
