Life Sciences Research Assistant [Remote]

Apply life sciences research expertise to create rigorous evaluation tasks that help train next-generation AI systems. This remote contractor role centers on authentic scientific materials, complex analysis, and objective scoring criteria that reflect real laboratory and research workflows. No prior AI experience is required. Key Responsibilities

• Develop advanced life sciences evaluation tasks, including experimental design critiques, protocol analyses, and primary data interpretation.
• Source and synthesize raw experimental data, laboratory protocols, technical literature, and supplementary research documents.
• Document the appropriate methodological approach and biological interpretation for each task.
• Create detailed, multi-item rubrics assessing methodological rigor, data interpretation, and source fidelity for AI evaluation.
• Ensure assignments retain the nuance, ambiguity, and depth of real-world scientific work rather than simplified or hypothetical scenarios.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators to incorporate feedback and refine deliverables.

• Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on research or laboratory experience involving primary data analysis and scientific protocols.
• Experience with protocol-driven, multi-source scientific workflows.
• Strong scientific reasoning, source synthesis, methodological evaluation, and attention to rubric fidelity.
• Strong written English skills and experience drafting or reviewing scientific documentation.
• Comfort working with CSVs, spreadsheets, PDFs, and technical documents.

• Remote independent contractor engagement.
• Work is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications. Completion time may vary based on experience and workflow.
• Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks each week.
• Selected candidates should be prepared to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing the required onboarding steps.

$30 to $50 per hour, with compensation structured around qualifying task output.
