Special Procedure Technologist

Seeking Special Procedures Radiologic Tech! Baptist Health Floyd, Cath Lab / EP Lab Part‑Time (24 Hours/Week), Days Sign‑on Bonus Eligible The Special Procedures Radiology Tech operates all radiographic equipment at a technical level, under the direction of a cardiologist. The Technologist performs scrub assisting and monitoring roles during invasive procedures in the Cath Lab / EP Lab. The Technologist assists in providing optimum care for patients undergoing procedures. The Technologist records information and evaluates patients' response to procedures. The Tech performs all procedures with technical accuracy and thorough understanding of all procedures, demonstrates in-depth knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, transfers procedures to digital archive or PACS for permanent record, troubleshoots equipment, and ensures radiation and equipment safety. Qualifications Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology Program Current A.R.R.T. Certificate in General Radiology Current Indiana Radiation License BLS for Healthcare Provider required Minimum of two years’ experience in clinical hospital setting preferred One year vascular or cardiovascular lab experience preferred Current knowledge of working under aseptic techniques preferred We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
