Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer Leader
Work with a leading Engineering firm offering positive work environment, projects to keep you challenged, flexibility and competitive compensation.
We are seeking a Senior I&C Design Leader to lead capital project design deliverables for industrial projects. We are seeking an I&C Engineer or Senior I&C Design Leader with 15-20 years of experience in managing teams of designers and/or engineers in complex design projects on heavy industrial projects.
- Write technical scopes of work
- Design/check P&ID"s (including instrumenting P&ID's, and adding control and interlock notes), data sheets, architecture drawings, functional descriptions, instrument index, loop sheets, interconnection diagrams, instrument location plans, I/O lists and cable schedules.
Skills/Experience
- B.S. degree preferred not mandatory. P.E. license is a plus
- Experience directing designers and/or engineers for capital project design deliverables
- Able to review and approve vendor drawings
- Perform FEL1, FEL2, FEL3 estimates
- Interact with other discipline leads and clients to effect technical solutions to project issues
- Able to perform field walk-downs to gather field data, attend meetings, bid walk-downs, etc.
