Job Title: Senior Accountant III (CPA) Workday Financials

Location: Great Falls, MT (Remote candidates considered)

Pay Rate: $50/hr

Contract: 26 Weeks (Potential extension or contract-to-hire)



Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant III with an active CPA license and strong Workday Financials experience. The ideal candidate will independently manage month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and complex accounting functions while supporting leadership with accurate financial information. Healthcare accounting experience is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance + 4+ years of accounting experience, or

• Master's degree in Accounting/Finance + 2+ years of accounting experience

• Active CPA License (Required)

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Financials

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with leadership

• Financial Reporting

Required Accounting Experience

• Own the month-end and year-end close

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjusting entries

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations

• Financial statement preparation and reporting

• Variance analysis

• Multi-entity and intercompany accounting

• Consolidated financial statements

• Audit support

• Budgeting support

• Research and apply accounting standards

• Strong accounting judgment and problem-solving skills

• Workday implementation or system conversion

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities

• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations

• Prepare financial statements and management reports

• Investigate and resolve accounting issues

• Support audits, budgeting, and tax-related activities

• Manage intercompany accounting

• Improve accounting processes and internal controls

• Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations

Important Notes

• CPA License is mandatory

• Candidate must complete a video or in-person screening before submission

• Remote candidates are welcome , but must work on-site in Great Falls, MT for approximately the first 60 days (first two month-end close cycles). Housing, travel, and lodging for this period will be reimbursed by Benefis.
