Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field required.
• Board eligible by NCA or ASCP and must complete board certification within one year of employment. (Certification at MT by ASCP or CLS by NCA required within one year.)
• One to three years of related or progressively responsible experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology, or completion of a formal student internship.
• Experience as a laboratory generalist and with clinical laboratory instrumentation.
• Must be capable of working independently and providing direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants.
• BLS certification as required by client.
• Must meet client immunization requirements: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tdap, Polio, or provide acceptable titers/historical records.
• Complete required background checks, drug screen, fit test or physical, identification, licensure/certification, education verification, and references prior to travel and onboarding.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in hospital laboratory settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and laboratory information systems.

Assignment Details

• Location: Bethel, AK (hospital setting).
• Shift pattern: Variable 8-hour shifts covering days, evenings, or nights.
• Shared private housing is provided; private housing is not available. No pets allowed.
• Airfare is initially paid by the candidate and/or agency and reimbursed upon arrival to Bethel, AK. Candidate must provide flight itinerary at least one week in advance for scheduling orientation and housing.
• New Employee Orientation occurs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.
• Traveler is not permitted to travel until all credentials have been received and cleared by the client recruiter.
