Description Accounting Closing Specialist — Job Description Position Overview Responsible for the company's monthly/quarterly/annual closing process, journal entry review, fund disbursement, and tax filing management (in coordination with an external tax firm). Description Accounting Closing Specialist — Job Description Position Overview Responsible for the company's monthly/quarterly/annual closing process, journal entry review, fund disbursement, and tax filing management (in coordination with an external tax firm). Experience Requirement 4+ years of relevant experience Key Responsibilities Closing Lead monthly/quarterly/annual closing process Review and approve journal entries Verify and reconcile account balances Prepare and review financial statements (B/S, P/L, C/F) Process accruals, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities Monitor budget vs. actual performance by department Journal Entry Review Review adequacy of supporting documentation for journal entries Verify accuracy of account classification Confirm compliance with approval authority procedures Correct and reprocess erroneous entries Fund Execution / Disbursement Review and approve payment requests Manage fund disbursement schedules Process and verify bank transactions Ensure compliance with internal controls over fund disbursement Tax Filing Management Coordinate with external tax firm on tax filing processes Prepare and provide data/documentation for tax filings Manage filing schedules (corporate income tax, VAT, etc.) Liaise with tax firm on tax-related issues and resolution Support tax audit response Qualifications 4+ years of relevant experience Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience Understanding of US GAAP and the closing process Familiarity with tax filing processes (direct filing not required — experience managing an external tax firm relationship preferred) Experience with ERP systems (SAP, etc.) Proficient in Excel Preferred Qualifications CPA candidate / CPA license holder EA (Enrolled Agent) license holder Closing experience in manufacturing or a global company English communication proficiency #J-18808-Ljbffr Qcells North America
