Role Overview : In this role, the Per Diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will work as an Orthopedic Surgical Consult APP to support the Orthopedic Oncology Surgical Service . This position will be primary coverage of the consult pager during daytime and occasional weekend shifts. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and be a driving force behind patient-centered care. Key Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited PA program

• NCCPA certification

• Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure

• Experience in inpatient surgery, surgical consult management, perioperative care, and/or orthopedics is preferred

• BLS certification/ACLS certification

OR

• Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses with ability to treat pediatric patients

• Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

• Related National NP certification

• Experience in inpatient surgery, surgical consult management, perioperative care, and/or orthopedics is preferred

• BLS certification/ACLS certification

Location: Main Hospital Campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY

Hours : 12 hour per diem shifts flexed as needed. Weekday (6a-6p), weekend (day shifts), and holiday coverage

Reports to : Manager, APP

Pay Rate: $88/hr.
