Patient Access Scheduling Agent - Partially Remote, M-F 9:00-5:30 Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $20.94 – $29.27 per hour. Final offer may vary within this range based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, 9:00–5:30. Shift: 1 – Day Shift, 8 Hours (United States). Hours: 40 per week. Cost Center: 99940 – 5492 Patient Access Center. Union: SHARE (State Healthcare and Research Employees). Major Responsibilities Handles incoming phone calls from patients, families and referring providers to schedule patient appointments across multiple providers, clinics, departments, and campuses. Makes outbound phone calls to patients to schedule appointments with specialists and subspecialists. Secures information needed for financial aspects of care (patient demographics, insurance, account guarantor). Processes updates, corrections, and collects patient liabilities before or on the date of service as appropriate. Based upon appointment visit type, secures medical records from outside health care organizations to ensure provider has necessary information. Schedules in‑office procedures such as biopsies, which may require scheduling the procedure and the room where it will take place. Position Qualifications License/Certification/Education High school diploma (required). Associate's degree in business or healthcare‑related field (preferred). Experience/Skills English speaking, reading and writing skills (required). Strong interpersonal and communication skills (required). Previous scheduling and/or phone customer services experience (preferred). Previous experience in a health care organization (preferred). Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing skills (preferred).
