Quality Assurance Manager

Manufacturing Hire is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to join a precision manufacturing company serving the Aerospace, Medical Device, and Industrial Manufacturing industries.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Quality Management Systems (QMS), leading audits, driving continuous improvement, and working directly on the manufacturing floor in a precision machining environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS)
• Lead internal audits and manage document control
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP activities
• Lead CAPA and Root Cause Analysis investigations
• Serve as the primary contact for customer and supplier quality issues
• Supervise and mentor a team of 2–3 Quality Inspectors/Technicians
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and improve quality
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Management experience
• Aerospace , Precision Machining, Machine Shop , or Industrial Manufacturing experience required
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Experience with FAI, PPAP, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, and Internal Audits
• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
