Unit Highlights:

• 36 bed surgical unit focused on providing care for a highly complex and acute population of specialty surgical service lines.
• A DNV nationally recognized Center of Excellence in Elective Hip, Knee, and Shoulder surgery in partnership with Rothman Orthopaedics Institute.
• A Blue Cross Designated "Blue Distinction Center" in spine, knee/hip surgery.
• Elite Head and Neck Cancer surgical care performing some of the most complex cases in the state of Florida.
• Working to grow thoracic surgery and vascular surgery service lines at the Altamonte campus.
• Led by a dedicated team of Assistant Nurse Managers, Clinical Coordinators, on-unit Nursing Practice Development- Practitioner, and Nurse manager focused on excellent quality and surgical outcomes while providing compassionate care and teamwork.

Schedule: Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts

Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing
• Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pay Range: $31.53 $52.24
