Speech Therapy Assistant - Hollidaysburg, PA

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
• Valid SLPA license or eligibility in Pennsylvania
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and willingness to learn individualized programs

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized therapy plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
• Conduct group and one-on-one speech-language therapy sessions under supervision
• Take diligent notes on student progress and document all therapy activities
• Assist with screening and informal assessment procedures as directed
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain an organized workspace
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students
• Communicate effectively with teachers and families regarding student needs and progress
