Registered Nurse (RN) - Mental Health Hospital

I’m a recruiter partnering with a state‑run inpatient mental health hospital in Denver to help find compassionate nurses for 13‑week contract assignments. Position Details 13‑week full‑time contracts Multiple shifts available: HAVE TO BE FLEXIBLE to work with the needs of the hospital at the time (days and nights) May be 36 hours/week OR rotating 36/48 hours/week Location: Denver, CO Opportunity to extend What You’ll Be Doing Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for patients with psychiatric and medical conditions Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans Administer medications and monitor effectiveness and side effects Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams Assist with crisis intervention and therapeutic interventions Support patients through counseling, psychoeducation groups, and skill‑building activities Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient updates to care teams Orientation First 2 weeks: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM $40/hr (non‑patient facing) After orientation, you’ll receive your schedule (days or nights) Process Takes minimum of 1 month to get through the background and requirements Additional Information This is a secure inpatient psychiatric setting serving adult patients Nurses may assist with therapeutic activities and occasionally escort patients to appointments or activities Must be flexible with scheduling, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Colorado or compact state) At least 2 years of nursing experience HAVE to have a flexible schedule 1 year of adult psych experience Ability to pass full background screening and onboarding requirements Must have all required immunizations EEO Statement WSi Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
