Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, identify trauma influences, and determine suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, using methodologies tailored to each client’s unique experiences and goals.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, incorporating techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that allow patients to process their trauma and build coping strategies in a supportive environment.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the integration of care, addressing both mental and physical health needs.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, exhibiting strong problem-solving skills and emotional stability.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, cultivating a holistic understanding of mental health.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and clinical supervision to stay current with trauma-informed care practices.

• Engage in reflective practice and PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) discussions to foster personal and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work predominantly with clients who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes adults across different demographics who are coping with PTSD, complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and related mental health issues. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals navigate their recovery journeys by providing tailored support that acknowledges their unique challenges and promotes empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California is required to practice.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure mental health counseling experience preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
