Description Provides individualized and group education, counseling, and support in Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME), Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), diabetes prevention programs, and other health and wellness initiatives. Supports Providence Community Wellness programs through the delivery of evidence-based education and interventions designed to improve health outcomes and promote healthy lifestyle behaviors across diverse populations. Required Qualifications: Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement Washington Dietitian Certification upon hire -OR- Washington Nutritionist Certification National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) upon hire or preparing for the NCBDE qualifying examination 6 months of experience providing diabetes education and/or 15 contact hours within past year in diabetes and diabetes clinical and educational subjects Preferred Qualifications: Credentialed as a diabetes education specialist or diabetes clinical management specialist CDE certified 3 years of experience as a healthcare professional Why Join Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
