Key Responsibilities

• Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Travel may be required up to 25% to Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
• Conduct thorough ophthalmologic evaluations and consultations, both inpatient and outpatient, including diagnosis, treatment, surgical procedures, postoperative care, and follow-up management across various ophthalmology subspecialties.
• Collaborate with other medical specialties to ensure integrated patient care.
• Participate in call coverage, surgical rotations, and urgent ophthalmologic assessments.
• Manage daily operations of the ophthalmology clinic, including patient scheduling, flow, and service coordination.
• Formulate strategic plans for program expansion, resource management, and enhanced access to ophthalmology services.
• Perform additional duties as necessary.
• Potential eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program, offering up to $200,000 over five years.

• Competitive Salary: Ranging from $359,000 to $385,000.

Preferred Experience

• Board Certification in Ophthalmology.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience; experience with veterans is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; non-citizen applicants may be considered if no qualified U.S. Citizen is available.
• Possession of a current, full, active, and unrestricted medical or surgical license in any U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth, including the District of Columbia.
