When you join the Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division (COGMD), you join a global team that helps to power the global energy industry as well as provide power and propulsion on the water.Contracts Manager – Services Execution & Contract DevelopmentAbout the role: As a Contracts Manager, you will lead development and execution of commercial strategy of assigned products and/or markets and contractual strategy, stewards of the strategy of the business units.Additional Information:This position is located in Houston, Texas.Relocation is available for this position.Sponsorship is not available for this position.This position requires working onsite five days a week.What you will do:Identify and analyze organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks within the COGMD business unit, developing strategies that support business objectives and operational excellence.Lead and coordinate the daily activities of employees responsible for contract negotiation, execution, and administration while ensuring effective resolution of customer concerns and escalations.Develop, implement, and manage a contract approval framework aligned with COGMD's business strategy, governance requirements, and risk management standards.Oversee contract management, pricing governance, and customer agreements to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business objectives.Partner cross-functionally to balance customer requirements, operational capabilities, and organizational priorities, driving timely decisions and successful outcomes.Provide leadership and direction to teams supporting customer engagement, contract administration, and business operations while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.What you will have:Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.Additional Qualifications: 10+ years of related contract management experience.Previous leadership experience with demonstrated coaching and people development responsibilities.Bachelor's degree required.Summary Pay Range:$159,120.00 - $238,680.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
