Temporary LPN for Float Pool TeamStamford Health is seeking a temporary LPN for the Float Pool team.The Float Pool is designed to support both Stamford Health Specialties and Primary Care offices throughout our organization. Our Float Pool team is made up of independent, motivated, and self-driven professionals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Team members are adaptable, embrace change, and take pride in supporting a variety of Specialty and Primary Care offices.Schedule: Monday through Friday, with shifts from either 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm. Float Pool team may be assigned to locations in Norwalk, Wilton, Darien, Stamford, New Canaan, Riverside, and Greenwich. If you join the Stamford Health Float Pool, you will receive valuable skills training while gaining experience in a variety of Specialty and Primary Care practices.If you're ready to make a difference and grow your career in healthcare, apply today and join a team that cares for you as much as you care for patients!Major Accountabilities / Critical Responsibilities:• Reviews schedules and organizes patient flow; greet patients, documents patient's concerns, questions etc…accompanies patient to exam/procedure room and prepares patients for physical exam. Initial patient interview; reviewing patient medical profile, and documents all required charting in EMR/manual charting as appropriate.• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs, weight. Reports any abnormalities to physician. Assists with specimen collection and testing as necessary. Documents pertinent information.• Assists patients as necessary i.e. walking, transferring, dressing etc.• Provides minor treatment as directed by physician, assists physicians with minor procedures.• Provides education as indicated after evaluating the learning needs of the patient and or family.• As required, schedules patient testing and pre certifies if insurances requires.• Responds to telephone messages (patient, physician offices etc…)• End of month checks for expired supplies and medication.• Stocks rooms/maintains inventory or exam/procedure rooms.• Orders supplies as needed.• Exam/procedure room & equipment cleaned after each patient.• Prepares exam /procedure room for next patient & physician needs.• Notifies patients of test results (per physician instruction) and follow up.Qualifications/Requirements:• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.• Valid license as Licensed Practical Nurse in CT.• BLS Certification• Excellent customer service / communication skills.• Knowledge of medical terminology.• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar position preferred.• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
