POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join an interdisciplinary care team serving older adults in a patient-centered healthcare program. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, you will provide restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services designed to maximize participant independence, safety, and quality of life both in the clinic and home setting.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  Base Salary: $74,000 - $98,000 annually

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist with assessments including vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions focused on improving independence and daily functioning.
• Support participants with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Coordinate treatment schedules, clinical visits, and participant appointments.
• Document therapy interventions and participant progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate closely with therapists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist with programs targeting balance, endurance, cognitive function, mobility, and safety.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active California Occupational Therapy Assistant License or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of OTA experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience working with frail, elderly, or geriatric populations.
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Outpatient rehabilitation.
• Acute care.
• Inpatient rehabilitation.
• Skilled nursing facility experience.
• Geriatric care and senior population experience.
• Interdisciplinary team-based healthcare environments.
