Crowne Health Care is currently accepting applications for a Wound Care / Treatment Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care and rehabilitation team. This Baylor position offers the advantage of a weekend-focused schedule while receiving full-time pay and benefits .

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the State of Alabama
• Previous wound care or treatment nursing experience preferred
• Willing to train and provide wound care certification at the facility’s expense
• Wound Care Certification is a plus
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills

Essential Job Functions

• Assess residents for wound care and treatment needs and provide ongoing follow-up to evaluate outcomes.
• Perform and document treatments according to physician orders, facility policies, and standards of care.
• Provide treatment and management of acute and chronic wounds, ostomies, stomas, pressure injuries, skin tears, and skin breakdown related to urinary or fecal incontinence.
• Monitor residents for changes in skin integrity and identify risks for skin breakdown and other complications.
• Communicate resident needs, changes in condition, and treatment outcomes with nursing staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate treatments with residents’ daily schedules and plans of care.
• Ensure required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and education related to wound prevention and treatment.
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to promote continuity and quality of resident care.
