Outpatient Clinic Classic Hematology - (non-malignant)This clinic is a classical hematology focusing on bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemias, sickle cell, and DVTs. It does not handle malignant hematology or oncology. RNs are required to bring their own stethoscope. Phlebotomy skills are a must.Required Skills/Certs/Exp:Minimum years of experience: 2 yearsMinimum experience required; will consider acute oncology/hematology experienceTraveler experience: Clinic will accept first-time travelersLocals accepted/rate difference: YesSkills: Nurses in the clinic room patients, perform phlebotomy, central line care, assist with bone marrow biopsies, vaccinations, EKG, phone triage, facilitate patients to be scheduled appropriately for infusions, patient education/phone calls, and case management.Certs: BCLSPreferred Skills/Certs/Exp:Skills: Chemotherapy and infusions are not done in this setting.
