Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Radar Systems Engineer I to join our Surface Radars and Radars team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting a range of sensor and effector programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept development to deployment.Every day will bring new challenges, requiring collaboration across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and you’ll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlesslyThis is an onsite position based in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The role may require up to 20% travel to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations to support test events and mission execution.You will develop concepts of operations for radar systemsYou will be responsible for radar processing algorithm developmentYou will be responsible for radar software requirements developmentYou will be responsible for statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance dataYou will be responsible for analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolutionYou will be responsible for collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutionsYou will present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or CustomersQualifications You Must Have Master’s degree in or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projectsQualifications We Prefer An active and in-scope Secret US security clearanceExperience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architecturesExperience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environmentsDesign experience in the following radar system areas; antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planningRequirements development experience, including use of DOORSExperience with MATLAB/Python/C++Experience with technical writing and oral presentationsWhat We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
